Safety and infection control is a top priority at Artistic Works Dentistry. We strictly adhere to state and federal guidelines for dental practices to ensure guest safety. Our offices are extremely safe, clean, and organized. There is a dedicated sterilization area where the dental team follows protocols to ensure that no cross-contamination can occur. Every re-useable instrument and equipment is wrapped, disinfected, sterilized with heat, steam, and pressure in an autoclave to kill bacteria and virus. Indicators are placed on the outside and inside of packages to verify that the instruments were processed and sterilized appropriately. We have also invested in well-organized cassette systems for optimal organization and safety. In addition, our sterilization processes, equipment, and instrumentation go through rigorous spore testing from third-party laboratories on a weekly basis to confirm that everything is completely sterile and safe for our patients and staff. Treatment rooms are sanitized between patients using chemical disinfection. Barriers and non-re-useable items, like suction and needles, are disposed of after every patient.
Infection control and universal precautions are used to protect guests and staff alike. Everyone benefits from rigorous infection control you, your dentist, and the dental team. The cornerstone in a good and safe dental practice is the element of trust. Please discuss any concerns or questions you may have with Dr. Williams or a member of the dental team.
